Job Purpose:
- The Certified Scrub Tech PRN provides assistance in the operating room by performing a variety of duties including preparing the operating room, ensuring the availability of instruments and supplies, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team during procedures. This role is on a PRN (as-needed) basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and sterile.
- Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures, adhering to strict aseptic techniques.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide instruments and supplies as requested.
- Assist in positioning and draping patients.
- Handle specimens and surgical instruments according to established protocols.
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment after each procedure.
- Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and supplies used.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to patient care, safety, and infection control.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other members of the surgical team.
- Participate in continuing education activities to maintain current knowledge and skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the surgical team or supervisor.
