Responsibilities
- Prepares the operating room by selecting and opening sterile instruments
- Assembles, adjusts, and checks non-sterile equipment
- Utilizes sterilizers, lights, suction machines, electrosurgical units, and diagnostic equipment during surgery
- Assists with sponge, needle, and other supply counts to track materials used in surgery
- Follows the guidelines of HIPAA in maintaining patient confidentiality
Requirements & Skills
- Certification(s): Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required; BLS preferred
- Team-oriented and positively contribute to exceptional customer service
- Excellent organizational & communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
