## Job Summary
The role involves leading the financial strategy, planning, and management for a dynamic, high-growth organization operating across multiple business lines including corporate transport, freight, SaaS, and charging infrastructure. The candidate will be instrumental in transitioning the company from growth-stage spending to sustainable, profitable operations, while partnering with executive leadership on strategic initiatives such as market expansion, new business lines, and mergers & acquisitions. Additionally, the role encompasses fundraising, investor relations, asset financing, treasury management, governance, compliance, and team leadership to support the company's scaling ambitions.
## Responsibilities
- Own **financial strategy**, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across various business segments.
- Drive the transition from **growth-focused spending** to **profitable unit economics** at the route, client, and city levels.
- Collaborate with the **CEO and leadership team** on strategic decisions related to new business lines, market expansion, and M&A activities.
- Lead **fundraising efforts** (equity and structured debt), including investor identification, due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiations.
- Serve as the **primary financial contact** for existing institutional investors, managing board reporting, covenant compliance, and ESG/impact metrics reporting.
- Develop the **financial narrative** and organizational readiness for future milestones, including IPO preparation (Ind AS reporting, governance, audit-committee readiness).
- Structure and manage **asset financing** for EV fleet and charging infrastructure, including leases, asset-backed debt, and sale-leaseback arrangements.
- Oversee **treasury management**, cash flow forecasting, and banking/NBFC relationships.
- Manage **fleet-related financial considerations**, including depreciation policies, residual values, and battery-life economics.
- Ensure **financial controls**, statutory compliance (Companies Act, tax, GST), and audit processes are robust and aligned with governance standards.
- Manage **risk** across currency, credit, and operational domains.
- Support **board and audit-committee** processes, working closely with nominee and independent directors.
- Act as a **strategic partner** to functional leaders (Operations, Technology, Sales) on pricing, contract profitability, and capital allocation.
- Build and lead a **high-performing finance organization** covering FP&A, controllership, treasury, and tax functions as the company scales.
## Qualifications
- 15–22 years of **progressive finance leadership experience**.
- At least **4–6 years** in a **CFO, VP-Finance**, or equivalent senior role.
- Prior experience in a **venture-backed, capital-intensive, high-growth Indian company** — such as EV/mobility, logistics, renewable energy, or a comparable asset-heavy B2B business.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing **institutional investor relationships** (PE/VC/DFI), including **fundraising** and **board reporting**.
- Strong knowledge of **asset-financing structures** (leases, asset-backed debt), with direct experience in fleet, equipment, or infrastructure financing being a significant advantage.
- Proven track record of guiding a business from **growth mode** to **profitable, disciplined unit economics**.
- Exposure to **IPO readiness**, **Ind AS** (Indian Accounting Standards), or **public-market governance standards** is highly desirable.
- **Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)**; CFA or MBA (Finance) from a top-tier institute is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a **fast-paced, founder-led environment** with a **multi-investor board**.
