Harmonic Executive is delighted to be exclusively retained to appoint a Chief Financial Officer for a high-growth, private equity-backed B2B SaaS business.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join an ambitious international software business at a defining point in its journey. Working alongside an experienced CEO, Board and investors, the incoming CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the business and driving long-term value creation.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer will become a key member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic financial leadership while supporting the continued development of the business.

This is a broad role, combining commercial finance, operational leadership and strategic planning. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, helping to drive better decision-making through financial insight, robust planning and disciplined execution.

Alongside overseeing an established finance function, the CFO will have the opportunity to further develop financial processes, strengthen reporting capabilities and ensure the business is well positioned for future strategic opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO, Board and shareholders to support the long-term strategic direction of the business.
• Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring strong financial governance, reporting and operational excellence.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and scenario modelling to support informed decision-making.
• Provide commercial insight to support investment decisions, business performance and resource allocation.
• Continue to strengthen financial controls, systems and reporting across the organisation.
• Develop meaningful management information and performance reporting for executive and Board stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships across the wider business, acting as a trusted commercial partner to operational leaders.
• Support future strategic initiatives as the business continues to develop and grow.

What We Need to See

• Proven experience as a CFO, VP Finance or senior finance leader within a B2B SaaS or software environment.
• A strong understanding of recurring revenue models, subscription businesses and SaaS performance metrics.
• Experience operating within a private equity-backed or similarly fast-paced commercial environment.
• Experience operating as a senior finance leader within a business generating 250m in annual revenue, with the financial, commercial and organisational complexity that comes with operating at that scale.
• Excellent financial planning, forecasting and analytical capabilities.
• A commercially minded approach with the ability to influence strategic decisions beyond finance.
• Experience building, developing and leading high-performing finance teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging Boards, investors and executive leadership teams.
• An interest in leveraging technology, automation and AI to enhance finance processes and business insight.

Desirable Experience

• Experience operating within a global business, with exposure to international finance operations and multi-jurisdictional environments.
• Exposure to business transformation, organisational change or strategic growth initiatives.
