Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive financial planning services, including retirement, investment management, tax-efficient strategies, insurance, and estate planning coordination.
- Designs and manages personalized financial plans using advanced planning software.
- Conducts in-depth financial reviews assessing goals, risk tolerance, cash flow, assets, and liabilities.
- Gathers, analyzes, and maintains member financial data, reports, and documentation, including risk tolerance and financial goals, to support planning, proposals, and portfolio reviews.
- Develops, presents, and implements customized financial plans aligned with member goals, values, and life stages.
- Prepares financial analyses, scenario modeling, and visual presentations (charts, graphs, histograms) to support informed decision-making.
- Tracks member progress, monitor portfolios, rebalance as needed, and communicate performance and key wealth milestones.
- Delivers fiduciary recommendations in full compliance with CFP Board standards, NCUA regulations, and Credit Union policies.
- Partners with Financial Advisors in client meetings to present plans, answer questions, and address member needs.
- Collaborates across departments and with external partners to deliver holistic solutions and optimal outcomes.
- Proactively identify planning, investment, insurance, and credit union product opportunities within advisor books of business.
- Maintains detailed client records and databases, including follow-up actions and tax planning strategies, including, but not limited to; Roth conversions and beneficiary distributions.
- Performs ongoing plan updates based on reviews, life events, or advisor/member requests.
- Supports audits, compliance reviews, and internal reporting requirements.
- Assists in developing workflows, procedures, and initiatives to improve efficiency and enhance the member experience.
- Contributes to product development, innovation, and strategic initiatives that expand holistic planning capabilities.
- Provides education to advisors and members on financial planning concepts, tax law updates, and holistic strategies.
- Participates in member education initiatives, including seminars, workshops, webinars, and one-on-one coaching.
- Builds long-term member relationships through proactive outreach, ongoing reviews, and a white-glove service approach.
- Supports the Credit Union’s mission by promoting financial literacy and member financial empowerment.
- Stays informed on market trends and regulatory changes impacting member financial plans.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirements
4 Year / Bachelors Degree - Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Related Field - Required
CFP® certification in good standing - Required
FINRA Series 7 license, Series 63 and 65 OR Series 66 and Life and Health Insurance License - Preferred
Experience Requirement
3 Years - Experience in financial planning, wealth management, or advisory services while utilizing financial planning software - Required
Knowledge of retirement plans, investments, insurance products, and basic estate planning principles - Required
Experience with MoneyGuidePro and Holistiplan financial planning software - Preferred
Experience working with third‑party wealth management partners - Preferred
SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Effectively apply internal and external customer service practices and processes to meet quality service standards and achieve member satisfaction.
- Learn and apply information, on a wide range of Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements, in order to assess member situations and develop solutions.
- Resolve problems utilizing advanced knowledge and experience.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Communicate in a professional manner and deliver information clearly and effectively. Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others. Use tact and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.
