Manager - Change Management and Transformation

The opportunity

As a Manager in our People Consulting team, you’ll help leading organisations navigate complex business, technology, AI, workforce and organisational transformation. You’ll assess the people impact of change and design practical, human-centred approaches that build readiness, adoption and lasting business outcomes.

Our People Consulting team helps some of Australia’s largest organisations navigate complex change and transformation. You’ll join a market-leading team, with EY recognised as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Employee Experience Consulting Services 2026 Vendor Assessment. You’ll work alongside experienced change and transformation practitioners at the forefront of how organisations are responding to technology, AI, workforce and organisational change.

You’ll work with experienced change and transformation practitioners and collaborate across organisation design, workforce transformation, technology and AI. Whether your experience has been gained in consulting or within a large organisation, this is an opportunity to deepen your change expertise and broaden your exposure across clients, industries and transformation challenges.

This role can be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

No two engagements will look the same. Depending on your experience and level, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Design and deliver change strategies for complex transformation programs, including impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, communications, learning, leader enablement, readiness and adoption.

  • Engage leaders and teams to build alignment and confidence, using human-centred and behavioural approaches to embed new ways of working and measure change outcomes.

  • Collaborate across EY’s transformation, technology, organisation and workforce capabilities.

At Manager level, you’ll also lead workstreams, build senior client relationships, coach team members and support practice growth.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience in change management, organisational change, transformation, human-centred change, employee experience or a related field.

  • Practical experience supporting or leading complex transformation programs across change strategy, impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, communications, learning, readiness or adoption.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear, compelling messages and deliverables.

  • A collaborative, curious and practical approach, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and adapt to different clients and transformation environments.

For Manager candidates, experience leading significant change workstreams, projects or programs, managing teams and engaging confidently with senior stakeholders.

Ideally, you’ll have the skills and attributes below, but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Technology (such as SAP S/4HANA, SucessFactors, Microsoft Copilot, Cowork), digital or AI-enabled transformation.
  • Operating model, organisation or workforce transformation.
  • Human-centred design, behavioural change or employee experience.
  • Change measurement, adoption and value realisation.
  • Consulting or advisory environments.
  • Australian Citizenship with Baseline (or higher) security clearance, or eligibility to obtain clearance
