Channel Strategy Manager
Position Overview
Lead the development of national retail strategy, operating model, and governance of high-value retail channels, by leveraging data, insights and cross-functional alignment. This role serves as a bridge between HQ strategy and regional execution, and drives effective resource allocation, access planning, and channel performance optimization to enable sustainable and high-quality business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Strategy & Access management
Define and develop national retail channel strategy, including channel segmentation, footprint planning, and prioritization frameworks
Tailor channel strategies across different market dynamics and regional policies
Lead the development of access strategies, including listing, maintenance and exit; coordinate retail access planning for new product launches, ensuring alignment between channel capabilities and brand strategy
Trade Investment & Commercial Strategy
Establish and optimize commercial policy and trade investment frameworks, including rebate, incentive models, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment of channel strategies with key business objectives
Develop ROI-driven evaluation models to assess effectiveness of channel investments and support management decision-making
Collaborate closely with Patient Engagement, BU, and other commercial teams to translate patient-centric strategies into scalable retail operating models
Governance & Execution Assurance
- Define governance frameworks to ensure consistent and compliant execution, including audit and performance monitoring
- Drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights and best practice standardization
Qualifications & Experience
Education: - Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (Business, Healthcare, Marketing or related field)
Professional Experience: 5+ years experience in pharmaceutical / healthcare industry, with relative experience in channel strategy, commercial excellence, or business insights; exposure to retail pharmacy / DTP channel / regional medical policy is a strong plus
Strategic Thinking & Data-Driven Insights: Exceptional strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with strong data-driven analytical capabilities
Communication: Skilled at cross-functional collaboration within complex organizational structures
Languages: Fluent in English and Mandarin
