Job Summary: Effectively leads the patient care team to achieve optimum patient outcomes during their shift. Assumes responsibilities as delegated by the Director including direction, supervision and delegation of clinical and non-clinical responsibilities to staff. Facilitates effective communication and resolution of work site operation issues that support Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville in its strategic initiatives.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or compact state license required.
- BLS required.
- ACLS is preferred within 3 months, not to exceed 6 months.
- Certification in area of expertise preferred.
- Avade workplace violence prevention training (Level III) required after hire or transfer, not to exceed 3 months, and maintained annually. Training provided in-house.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in related area preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated leadership qualities at current level of practice and good interpersonal and communication skills.
