Charging Station Maintenance Manager

Operational & Technical Management

  • Oversee maintenance activities for all VinFast/V-Green AC and DC charging stations, ensuring high availability and system reliability.

  • Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance plans to reduce downtime across the charging network.

  • Monitor real-time system alerts, diagnose failures, and coordinate rapid response for critical incidents.

  • Establish and continuously improve maintenance procedures, technical standards, and safety protocols in compliance with IEC/ISO EV charging standards.

  • Evaluate charging hardware performance (modules, cooling systems, connectors, power electronics, communication interfaces).

  • Oversee spare parts inventory, maintenance tools, and relationships with equipment suppliers or service partners.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor a team of maintenance engineers and field technicians.

  • Assign tasks, schedule field visits, and ensure consistent adherence to safety and operational guidelines.

  • Organize technical training programs on EV charger troubleshooting, electrical safety, and new hardware/software updates.

Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct routine audits on electrical safety, grounding, PCCC (fire safety), and equipment compliance.

  • Ensure full compliance with local regulations and global standards related to EV charging infrastructure.

  • Identify potential system risks and implement mitigation measures.

Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare annual maintenance budgets, including cost forecasts for spare parts, manpower, and upgrades.

  • Analyze maintenance KPIs: downtime, fault frequency, mean time to repair (MTTR), cost per station, etc.

  • Provide weekly/monthly operational reports to senior management.

  • Support expansion projects by reviewing maintenance feasibility for new charging site deployments.



Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Energy Systems, or related fields.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, EV charging infrastructure, industrial electrical systems, or renewable energy.

  • Proven experience managing a technical/maintenance team.

  • Strong understanding of AC/DC power systems, electrical protection, grounding, thermal management, and EV charging standards (IEC 61851, ISO 15118).

Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination capabilities.

  • Strong attention to electrical safety and operational discipline.

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize urgent repairs.

  • Proficient in using CMMS or digital maintenance management systems.

  • Good English skills (technical reading and report writing).
