Charging System Manager
In this
role, you will be instrumental in the High voltage Charging system lead
engineer, using your skills to analyze vehicle system data, working on design
review and change requirement for high voltage components. You will collaborate
with diverse teams, including Engineering, Quality Control,VINFAST's suppliers,
to create cutting-edge solutions that will drive the future of transportation.
Area of Responsibility
- You
will lead power electronics and charging delivery within ePowertrain team
/ Electrical System Integration projects within the Electrical Engineering
(EE) Department.
- You
will manage technical deliverables, planning, reporting on progress and
providing expert knowledge in the area of EV Charging. Ensuring on time
delivery and working to the highest standards possible. This will involve
working across technical specialisms, adopting new processes and acting as
the main point of contact for your specialist area. Technical ownership is
expected for the following regions
o HV Distribution systems and PWT
power management
o EV Charging Systems and Energy
Conversion
o ISO15118 and other relevant
charging standards
o ISO26262 processes
- Responsible Engineering deliverables for
the commodity development including:
- Design
reviews, HV system confirm for meet specific requirement.
- Requirements
definition/management
- Generate
test plans and supplier test plan reviews for Power electronics and
Charging
- Involvement
in systems FMEA’s and management of supplier DFMEA
- System
and component feature and SW implementation planning
- Develop the System Design Specifications
& the Statements of Work for all projects within portfolio.
- Validate that all products meet the
specification requirements and project targets through a documented DVP
- Ensure all requirements are captured and
monitored against test results.
- Issue fix, improve system.
- SOR, Specbook creating, modify, approval.
- Charging standard verification for
AC,DCFC,SFC system include cutting edges features like V2L, PnC and V2G.
- Work with external partners (CPO, Charin …
etc) to improve our charging system globally.
- Creation of CCB's related to charging system
requirement for all program.
- Participate to team development.
- You
will be required to support and monitor integration of the commodity into
the wider vehicle system and assist in firefighting, ensuring lessons
learned are captured in component/system requirements.
- Assess
system HV strategies, develop and propose improvements to vehicle and
component level strategies, propose validation and gain buy-in from
stakeholders.
- You
will lead the technical discussions to deliver robust fault free designs
through the application of Concurrent Engineering disciplines including
DFMEA, DFA, DFM, Campaign Prevention Process, Robustness, etc.
- Agree
and sign off the component/system requirements with different stakeholders
for each domain.
- Involvement
during vehicle system architecture and strategy discussions to meet
vehicle requirements and ensure all functional safety requirements are
captured.
Requirements
Knowledge / Experience
- Strong organisational skills with
a good track record of delivering projects on time. It is core to the success of our

available.
- Working experience with Standards
like ISO 15118, SAE J1772, ISO 26262, GBTs etc.
- Documentation of DFMEA, DVP,
Timing Plans, Minutes and Actions of Meetings.
- Automotive development processes
- Previous experience of OEM or tier
one automotive systems.
- Experience using DOORS Systems or
any other platform to manage system/components requirements.
- Strong track record of delivering
significant high value business and delivering to very tight timescales
- Driven to delivering high quality
projects, on time and budget, beyond customer expectations.
- Deep understand in charging
station technical on the market with global standard like NACS, CCS2, CCS1,
AC Type1,2 etc…
Essential
- Degree in Electronics/Electrical,
Mechatronics, Software or Automotive Engineering.
- Able to anticipate, translate and
develop customer requirements into tangible feature developments
- Expertise in automotive toolchains
including Diagnostic Tools, Vector Tools, CANalyzer and CANoe etc for log
file verification as Pcap log,blf, charging station log.
- Expertise in communication
protocols such as CAN/LIN/Flexray etc.
- Expertise in product design,
develop & DV at cell, module and battery pack systems
- Experience with EE Architecture
and the thermal management (component/system).
- Understanding of Vehicle system
elements (VCU, OBC, BMS and PDU etc.)
- Able to actively participate in
system FMEAs and related validation activities.
- Ability to build relationships and
influence customers
- Experience of HV Battery, BMS and
system development and the related New Product Introduction processes
