Summary
A couple team operates and maintains a luxury sailing yacht in the Caribbean, handling navigation, guest hospitality, and meal preparation for private and charter guests aboard an Oyster 575.
This is a remote position.
STARTING November 2026 - We are seeking an experienced Charter Captain and Mate/Chef Couple Team to join an active sailing family and their guests aboard this beautiful Oyster 575 sailing yacht during the Caribbean season and New England summers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and professional couple who take pride in maintaining high standards onboard while delivering exceptional guest experiences. The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring owners, guests, and charter clients enjoy memorable and well-managed sailing adventures.
The owner is a competent sailor and often he and his family or friends will sail the boat without crew. In this case, crew will be provided with accommodation ashore or holidays can be arranged around these times. Running charters and maintaining the yacht to a high standard are the biggest part of the crew's job description, so a solid background of chartering and hands on engineering skills are essential. This owner likes the crew to have 'ocean sailing experience' so that he can feel that the yacht is in safe hands on the ocean deliveries between the Caribbean and US East Coast.

Yachtmaster Offshore Commercially Endorsed
STCW
ENG 1
B1/B2 or right to work in US (only if the crew continue onto the US summer season with this yacht)

Minimum 2-3 seasons of sailing yacht charter experience
Proven experience operating charter sailing yachts between 40ft and 60ft
Strong sailing knowledge and practical seamanship
Good engineering and maintenance skills
Professional presentation and communication skills
