JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced operations professional to join our Singapore team as a Chartering & Voyage Operations Executive. In this role, you will be responsible for chartering vessels from shipowners at competitive hire rates, managing the full voyage lifecycle, and ensuring every voyage is executed efficiently and profitably. You will work closely with shipowners, brokers, port agents, and the Sales team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Negotiate and conclude Time Charter Trip (TCT) and Voyage Charter agreements with shipowners and brokers
•Review, negotiate, and finalise Charter Party (C/P) terms, conditions, and rider clauses
•Evaluate voyage economics — bunker costs, port costs, hire rates, and freight income — to ensure profitability before fixing
•Manage full post-fixture voyage operations from fixture confirmation to voyage completion
•Coordinate with port agents, terminals, and vessel masters on arrival, berthing, cargo operations, and departure
•Monitor vessel performance against C/P warranties — speed, fuel consumption, and off-hire events
•Plan and manage bunker procurement across voyages to optimise cost and vessel performance
•Handle all shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (B/L), Notices of Readiness (NOR), Statements of Facts (SOF), and Letters of Indemnity (LOI)
•Calculate laytime and manage demurrage and despatch claims accurately and within time limits
•Prepare voyage P&L reports and commercial performance analysis for management review
•Track freight market indices (BDI, BCI, BSI) and provide regular market updates to support commercial decisions
•Coordinate with Sales team on cargo requirements, vessel positions, and tonnage matching
JOB REQUIREMENTS

•Dry bulk vessel operator (shipowner or OP side) with TCT/COA execution, voyage P&L management, and post-fixture operations experience
•Tanker chartering & operations — post-fixture depth, laytime calculations, freight invoicing, demurrage settlements
•Dry bulk or tanker shipbroking — fixture negotiation, Charter Party terms knowledge, and freight market understanding
•Commodity trading with direct shipping/freight exposure — voyage economics, cargo contracts, and cost management
•Ship agency operations with port cost management, PDA/FDA, vessel turnaround and documentation experience
Skills & Competencies
•Working knowledge of Charter Party terms and international shipping practices
•Familiar with shipping documentation — B/L, NOR, SOF, laytime calculations, demurrage
•Analytical mindset
•Able to manage multiple voyages simultaneously under commercial pressure with strong attention to detail
•Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of IMOS or similar shipping software is an advantage
Education
•Minimum: Diploma in Maritime Business, Shipping, or related field
