Chassis Technician
Job Summary:
Completes troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance on chassis products in a service workshop independently while coaching and developing less experienced technicians
We are looking for a talented Chassis Technician to join our Distribution business in (Coburg, OR).

Will make an impact in the following ways:
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and complex repairs on chassis and related vehicle systems.
- Complete preventative maintenance and inspections on chassis components to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
- Utilize electronic diagnostic tools, service manuals, and other technical resources to accurately identify and resolve issues.
- Complete service documentation, work orders, warranty claims, and repair records accurately and timely.
- Coach and support junior technicians and apprentices by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, tools, and equipment.
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain and expand technical skills.
In order to be succesful in this role you will need the following:
- Advanced knowledge and experience with chassis systems, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
- Ability to perform complex troubleshooting and repairs using electronic service tools and diagnostic software.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, fuel, cooling, exhaust, aftertreatment, driveline, and control systems.
- Experience documenting repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance activities in service management systems.
- Ability to provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to less experienced technicians.
- Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- CDL may be required upon hire. Federal law requires CDL holders to be at least 21 years of age.
- Apprentice Trained Technician certification preferred.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Technician (Preferred).
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with chassis products
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
