Checkout Quality & Reliability & Automation Engineer
Summary
Senior quality engineering consultant who designs, executes and automates end-to-end testing across retail POS, payments, integrations, hardware and backend services, including hands-on testing in physical POS test environments in Stockholm. Owns test strategy, automation, quality documentation and release readiness for a ~2-year full-time engagement, on-site 4 days/week.

1. Daily tasks
Design, execute and automate end-to-end testing across POS, payments, integrations, hardware and backend services.
Perform hands-on testing in physical POS/test environments, troubleshoot defects and drive issues to resolution.
Maintain test automation, quality documentation and release readiness, continuously improving test coverage and quality assurance.
2. Minimum technical skills
Strong POS/retail checkout and integration knowledge.
Advanced experience in E2E, integration, system and automated testing, including APIs and CI/CD.
Strong troubleshooting skills across software, hardware, integrations, logs and distributed systems, with experience from physical test environments.
3. Leadership / experience level
Senior/Expert consultant, preferably 7+ years in quality engineering, test automation and/or complex system testing.
Proven ability to independently own quality end-to-end, define test strategies and automation approaches, and work hands-on.
Strong experience working across multiple engineering teams and vendors, providing technical quality leadership while driving issues through to resolution.
