Chef Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present food according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Plan menus and develop new dishes based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff, including assistant cooks and kitchen helpers.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.

  • Monitor inventory levels and order ingredients and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Inspect deliveries to ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients.

  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures.
