Are you an experienced Chemical Tanker Operator with strong expertise in demurrage and post-fixture operations?
We're partnering with a global petrochemical trading company to recruit a Chemical Tanker Operations & Demurrage Specialist based in Singapore. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global trading environment where you'll take ownership of end-to-end tanker operations while managing laytime calculations, demurrage claims, and voyage execution across Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end post-fixture operations for bulk chemical tanker shipments.
- Review SOFs, NORs and laytime documentation.
- Prepare and negotiate demurrage and despatch claims.
- Coordinate with shipowners, charterers, agents and surveyors to ensure smooth voyage execution.
- Partner closely with the trading team to minimise operational risks and protect commercial margins.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in Chemical tanker operations or post-fixture operations. *Experience in clean petroleum/product tanker operations will also be considered
- Proven experience handling demurrage claims independently.
- Strong understanding of charter parties, laytime and demurrage.
- Confident liaising with owners, charterers and external stakeholders in a fast-paced commercial environment.
