Summary

A Quality Control Chemist tests contact lens care solutions in a lab, ensuring products meet GMP/GLP/ISO standards and regulatory requirements.

Our client is a well-established local manufacturer in the eye care industry, specialising in contact lens care solutions. They are looking for a QC Chemist to support laboratory testing, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance to ensure products meet international quality standards.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 7:45am – 4:45pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical and microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples.
  • Ensure laboratory testing complies with GMP, GLP, ISO standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate laboratory deviations, OOS/OOT results, and support corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain laboratory documentation, SOPs, test methods, and reports.
  • Support method validation, verification, equipment qualification, and calibration activities.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and product registrations.
  • Monitor product quality trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and 5S requirements.
  • Support other quality and laboratory-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant chemistry laboratory internship experience are welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge of GMP, GLP, ISO standards, or laboratory quality systems is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Meticulous, responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
