Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a pivotal role where you will drive the financial strategy and governance of the company. As a CFO, you will own the financial work stream of the EMI licensing process and lead the finance function towards successful growth. This role demands strategic thinking, a strong regulatory understanding, and the vision to build a robust financial framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the financial work stream of the EMI licensing process.

• Prepare and defend financial projections, budgets, capital and liquidity plans, and stress scenarios.

• Coordinate financial submissions and communication with regulators, auditors, and advisers.

• Build finance governance, internal controls, approval processes, and policies.

• Lead accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and management reporting.

• Oversee capital adequacy, liquidity, safeguarding, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting.

• Support senior leadership on pricing, unit economics, costs, funding, and commercial priorities.

• Build the finance team, systems, and external partnerships required for growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years of senior finance leadership experience, including CFO-level responsibility in an EU-regulated financial institution.

• Hands-on experience with an EMI, Payment Institution, banking, or similar licence application.

• Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting, capital adequacy, liquidity, safeguarding, and financial governance.

• Experience leading accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, audit, and management reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• Languages: English, Russian.

• Experience in fintech.
