Role Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned CFO / Head of Finance to lead the finance function of a high-growth biotech start-up, with oversight of its US operations.

The role will work closely with the CEO and leadership team across financial strategy, fundraising, business performance, profitability, governance and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the overall finance, controllership, FP&A and MIS functions.

- Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis.

- Lead and manage fundraising initiatives, including investor engagement and financial due diligence.

- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on strategic and commercial decisions.

- Oversee cash flow, working capital, profitability and cost optimisation.

- Ensure strong financial controls, governance, compliance and statutory reporting across India and relevant US operations.

- Provide financial insights to support business growth, expansion and scale.

- Lead and develop the finance team and strengthen finance processes and systems.

Must-Have Candidate Profile:

- 15 - 20+ years of relevant finance experience, preferably across Biotech, Life Sciences, Pharma or Healthcare.

- CA qualification preferred.

- Proven fundraising experience is mandatory, including managing fundraising processes and working with investors and key stakeholders.

- Strong experience working in a start-up / high-growth business environment.

- Strong experience across FP&A, controllership, business finance and financial strategy.

- Prior experience managing finance operations with exposure to US operations is mandatory.

- Proven ability to partner with senior leadership and manage a finance function/team.

- Strong commercial orientation with a track record of supporting business growth, profitability and scale.
