Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the President & CEO. This role provides enterprise-wide financial leadership across Equity Technology Group and all subsidiary entities, including Equity Engineering, Equity Software, Equity Knowledge, CorrSolutions, and Equity Properties. The CFO plays an active, hands-on role in both strategic and operational finance, and serves as a visible steward of ETG's employee-ownership culture.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning:
- Partner with the President & CEO and executive leadership team to develop and execute multi-year financial strategy across ETG and its subsidiaries
- Lead enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for the executive team and Board of Directors
- Design and oversee incentive compensation plans, including annual bonus structures and sales commission frameworks
Financial Operations & Reporting:
- Oversee financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls across all legal entities
- Manage relationships with banking partners, external auditors, and financial advisors
- Direct the selection, implementation, and ongoing administration of financial systems and ERP platforms
- Ensure timely, accurate consolidated financial statements across the holding company and subsidiaries
ESOP & Employee Ownership Stewardship:
- Serve as a visible champion of ETG’s employee-ownership culture, both internally and with outside stakeholders
- Oversee ESOP plan compliance, annual valuation processes, and fiduciary responsibilities
- Manage relationships with the ESOP trustee, plan administrators, and third-party administrators
- Ensure compliance with ERISA requirements and annual ESOP reporting and disclosure obligations
Team & Stakeholder Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team operating in a lean, multi-subsidiary environment
- Build trust and collaborative working relationships with subsidiary leadership teams across Equity Engineering, Equity Software, Equity Knowledge, CorrSolutions, and Equity Properties
- Partner with HR on payroll and HRIS integration matters as needed
- Work closely with the outgoing CFO to ensure a smooth, well-documented transition
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Business preferred
- CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred
