To manage the marine engineering functions of a harbour tug in such a manner as to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant and auxilliary equipent, the implementation of sound preventative maintenance practises interms of the planned maintenance schedules, fault diagnosis and on board repairs of equipmentand machinery, attend to overhauls of machinery and equipment including planned craft lay ups and unpalnned breakdowns.
