Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) [2506]
DataForest is looking for a strategic and hands-on Chief Marketing Officer to lead our marketing direction and accelerate company growth. The ideal candidate has a strong background in digital marketing, brand strategy, and data-driven decision-making, with a proven ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
You'll be a great fit if you have:
- 8+ years in digital marketing, with 5+ in senior leadership (Head of Marketing / Marketing Director / CMO), ideally inside an IT, software, or data services company.
- Proven ability to build a marketing function and team from the ground up: a small in-house core plus orchestrated external specialists (SEO, copywriting, partnerships).
- A quantifiable pipeline track record. For example, marketing-attributed deals added, scaled MQL programs etc.
- Hands-on experience marketing to US and EU buyers.
- Multi-channel command across SEO and AI search (AEO / GEO), content, SMM, PR, events, and partnerships.
- Strong technical fluency: comfortable working directly with engineering and product teams.
- Early, practical adopter of AI in marketing (automation, AI-assisted content, AI search visibility), not a recent convert.
- Data-driven and board-ready: builds dashboards and attribution (HubSpot CRM, Google Analytics, Looker Studio), runs ROMI / CAC analysis, and reports marketing in revenue terms to the CEO.
- Experience with marketing automation and the core stack: HubSpot, Google and LinkedIn Analytics and Ads.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the executive presence to run strategy sessions with the CEO and department heads.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- English: professional working proficiency or higher.
Would be a plus:
- Certifications (Digital Marketing, HubSpot, Google etc)
- Experience marketing IT outsourcing, software development, data engineering, or AI services.
What you'll do:
- Develop and execute a marketing strategy that focuses on generating leads and driving revenue growth.
- Develop and implement creative and data-driven marketing initiatives that increase brand awareness and inbound leads.
- Analyze markets, competitors, and customer behavior to find new growth opportunities.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team.
- Coordinate digital campaigns with a focus on measurable ROI.
- Strengthen the DataForest brand through thought leadership, storytelling, and a consistent visual and communication identity.
- Grow visibility in both classic search and AI answer engines (AEO / GEO), so DataForest is found and cited where buyers now research.
- Collaborate with Lead Gen, Sales, and Delivery teams to align marketing activities with business goals.
- Track performance metrics, manage marketing budgets, and report directly to the CEO.
- Continuously research and test new marketing tools, channels, and trends to keep the company ahead of competitors.
