This is an opportunity for an experienced pediatric urologist to shape the future of pediatric urologic care in Northwest Florida — combining clinical practice with the opportunity to build a growing program, expand access to subspecialty care, and develop the people and capabilities needed to serve children and families across the region.

The chief will provide strategic, operational, and administrative leadership for the Division of Pediatric Urology while remaining actively engaged in clinical practice. Working closely with institutional leadership, the chief will help expand subspecialty capabilities, strengthen care delivery, and further integrate pediatric urologic services within a multidisciplinary environment.

This is a role for a builder and collaborative leader who sees the opportunity not only to lead a program, but to help define its future. The chief will play a central role in:

  • Developing and executing a strategic vision for the growth of pediatric urology
  • Expanding access to specialized pediatric urologic care across the region
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and developing physicians, APPs, and trainees
  • Advancing clinical quality, patient outcomes, and patient safety
  • Supporting surgical innovation, outcomes research, and medical education
  • Strengthening collaboration across pediatric specialties and with adult urology services
  • Developing care models that promote continuity, efficiency, and an exceptional experience for patients and families

In addition to dedicated clinical and support resources, the division has access to advanced surgical technology, including da Vinci 5 and da Vinci Xi Surgical Systems at Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart.

Key Responsibilities

The chief will remain actively engaged in clinical practice while providing strategic and operational leadership for the program. Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive diagnostic and surgical care to pediatric patients with urologic conditions
  • Serving as a consultant for hospitalized patients with primary urologic diagnoses and providing inpatient and outpatient specialty consultation, including call responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing clinical pathways and evidence-based practices that promote high-quality, standardized care
  • Leading initiatives designed to improve quality, safety, access, patient outcomes, and cost-effectiveness
  • Participating in medical education, research, and other academic activities, as appropriate
  • Supporting the education and development of pediatric residents, APPs, and other learners
  • Collaborating with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other clinical and operational leaders across the health system
  • Identifying opportunities to expand pediatric urology services and meet the evolving needs of children and families throughout the region
  • Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with applicable requirements

Leadership Priorities

As chief, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Build and expand a leading pediatric urology program in Northwest Florida.
  • Define clinical strategy and guide programmatic growth.
  • Recruit and develop talent while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Advance innovation and education through surgical excellence, outcomes research, and medical education.
  • Strengthen integration among pediatric urology, adult urology, and other pediatric subspecialties.
  • Expand access to specialized pediatric urologic care for children and families throughout the region.
