What You'll Do:
- Provide overall executive accountability for the performance of True Oil LLC’s exploration and production business, including exploration, development, production, financial and operational performance, capital expenditures, operating costs, reserves and asset value, risk management, safety, regulatory compliance, and organizational effectiveness; regularly advise the Owners/True Partners on business performance, strategic opportunities, risks, capital allocation, and long-term asset development.
- Direct strategies to maximize asset uptime, production efficiency, and operational reliability across the company's exploration and production assets, including identifying recurring failures, equipment constraints, infrastructure limitations, operational bottlenecks, and opportunities to reduce deferred production.
- Lead all exploration and production operations for True Oil LLC, including drilling, completions, production, field operations, engineering, and related operational support functions.
- Translate company strategy into operational plans, performance goals, and execution priorities that support long-term growth, efficiency, and profitability.
- Oversee development and execution operating plans, capital programs, production forecasts, and resource allocation in partnership with executive leadership, accounting, engineering, land, and other internal stakeholders.
- Review significant variances between forecasted and actual production, identify root causes, and direct appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide executive oversight of field development activities across core operating areas, including the Williston Basin, Powder River Basin, Green River Basin, and Denver-Julesburg Basin, as applicable to company operations.
- Build strong working relationships across engineering, operations, geology, land, accounting, legal, human resources, safety, and executive leadership to ensure organizational alignment and effective decision-making.
- Act as a senior member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to enterprise-wide decisions that extend beyond operations.
- Develop and deliver presentations for Executive Committee, Board, PODS, and Supervisor meetings, collaborating with team members throughout the process.
- Lead team in developing an annual budget and submit budget with recommendations to the owners/True Partners for approval.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) related to production performance, operating cost, safety, environmental compliance, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure operations are conducted in compliance with applicable Federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as company policies, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operations discipline, reduce downtime, optimize production, manage risk, and improve cost effectiveness.
- Support acquisition divestiture, and development decisions by providing operational input, risk analysis, and integration planning as needed.
- Represent the company in high-level discussions with regulators, vendors, service providers, landowners, partners, and other business stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of accountability, leadership development, safety, stewardship, and operation excellence throughout the organization.
- Uphold company values and promote ethical business practices, principled practices, principled leadership, and responsible development of energy resources.
Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all senior operational and departmental leaders.
- Strategic oversight, goal setting, executive-level mentoring, and organizational development.
What We're Looking For:
Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or energy management, with fifteen (15+) years of progressively responsible leadership in oil and gas exploration and production operations including significant experience in upstream field operations, production, drilling completions, or asset development; and equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Proven track record of operational excellence, strategic execution, and team leadership.
- Must have the ability to direct reservoir studies and evaluations.
- Ability to assess and integrate operational technologies and analytics tools.
Preferred Education, Skills, Requirements
- MBA or advanced degree.
Computer Skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, S &P Global (HIS) Well Datta, Enerdeq, Powertools, and oil and gas industry computer programs.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Currently have or be willing to obtain a Professional Engineering registration or Professional registration in a relative profession in the State of Wyoming.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

- Must live in or around Casper, Wyoming.
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check, and drug/alcohol test.
