Chief Operating Officer / COO / EPC Business

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and operational management of the EPC business unit.
• Oversee the full EPC project lifecycle, from presales and tendering to project execution and delivery.
• Take direct responsibility for P&L, gross margin, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Manage a portfolio of complex EPC projects worth USD 500M+ in aggregate.
• Drive business development, commercial negotiations, contract management, and risk mitigation.
• Build and scale operational structures, optimize resources, and ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with quality, HSE, contractual, and applicable Russian and international standards.

Candidate Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in the EPC industry, including at least 10 years with a major international EPC company.
• Proven track record in EPC project and portfolio management, with an aggregate portfolio value of USD 500M+.
• At least 10 years of experience in the Russian market, with strong knowledge of local business practices and regulations.
• Direct responsibility for P&L, cash flow, project profitability, and commercial performance.
• Demonstrated experience in presales, tendering, contract negotiations, and claims management.
• Proven ability to build and scale operational organizations and lead large, multidisciplinary teams.
• Higher education in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of EPC contracts, FIDIC, risk management, and project management methodologies.
• Fluent Russian and English, with the ability to conduct technical and commercial negotiations in both languages.
• Willingness to travel to project sites in Russia and internationally.
