Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Job Summary:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for leading the overall business operations of COMPANY ensuring the successful execution of corporate strategies and business objectives established by the General Manager and COMPANY Headquarters.
The COO oversees Sales, After-sales Service, Spare Parts, Marketing, and Import Registration functions, driving revenue growth, profitability, market share, dealer network expansion, and customer satisfaction across Thailand. This role also manages cross-functional collaboration, business compliance, operational risk, and cross-cultural leadership between Chinese headquarters and the local Thailand organization while supporting the company's long-term business expansion.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall business operations and execute strategic initiatives in alignment with corporate objectives and annual business plans.
- Drive business performance by achieving sales, revenue, profitability, market share, spare parts sales, and new energy commercial vehicle targets.
- Develop and implement localized business strategies based on market trends, competitor analysis, government policies, import regulations, tariffs, and industry developments.
- Oversee nationwide sales operations, dealer development, channel management, dealer performance, and commercial policies.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key customers, fleet operators, government agencies, and strategic business partners.
- Lead after-sales operations, spare parts supply, warehouse management, service network development, logistics, customs clearance, and inventory optimization.
- Manage brand positioning, product launches, exhibitions, marketing activities, and corporate communications to enhance market presence.
- Establish operational processes, governance, and internal controls to ensure business efficiency, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Monitor financial performance, accounts receivable, inventory turnover, operational budgets, and business profitability in collaboration with the Finance team.
- Collaborate with the CHRO to develop organizational capabilities, workforce planning, executive recruitment, performance management, and leadership development.
- Work closely with Headquarters to align business strategies, product localization, supply chain planning, and operational priorities for the Thailand market.
- Lead and develop multicultural teams comprising Chinese expatriates and Thai employees while fostering collaboration and operational excellence.
- Identify operational risks, recommend corrective actions, and report significant business matters to senior management and Headquarters.
- Lead special business projects and perform other responsibilities assigned by the General Manager and Headquarters.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, International Trade, or a related field; an MBA is an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the commercial vehicle, automotive, manufacturing, industrial, or multinational environment.
- Proven experience in business operations, sales management, dealer network development, after-sales service, spare parts operations, and commercial strategy.
- Strong knowledge of Thailand's automotive industry, commercial vehicle market, import regulations, RCEP tariffs, KD manufacturing policies, and dealer management.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, market expansion, profitability, and operational excellence.
- Experience managing cross-functional departments, including Sales, Marketing, After-sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Customer Service.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent strategic planning, business development, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Experience leading multicultural organizations and collaborating effectively with Chinese headquarters and local Thai teams.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, compliance, operational risk management, budgeting, and financial performance management.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is highly advantageous.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Thailand as required.
