Chief Operating Officer

We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale Osome's global operations. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will own the day-to-day operational engine of the business — turning strategy into execution across service delivery, operations, technology-enabled processes, and cross-market expansion. You will build a high-performing operations organisation that delivers an exceptional client experience while improving efficiency, quality, and margin as we grow globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate company strategy into clear operational plans, KPIs, and quarterly objectives across all markets (Singapore, Hong Kong, and the UK).

  • Lead and scale the global operations function, including accounting and bookkeeping delivery, corporate secretarial services, client onboarding, and customer support.

  • Drive operational excellence — optimise processes, service-level agreements, turnaround times, and quality standards while maintaining regulatory compliance in every market.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to automate manual workflows and embed AI into service delivery, improving productivity and scalability.

  • Own operational P&L; manage capacity planning, resourcing, and unit economics to improve efficiency and margins as the business scales.

  • Build, mentor, and develop a strong leadership team; set a high-performance, people-first culture across a distributed, multi-country workforce.

  • Establish data-driven decision-making through robust operational reporting, dashboards, and metrics.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory and statutory requirements (e.g. ACRA in Singapore) and maintain strong risk-management and internal controls.

  • Lead operational planning for market expansion and new service lines.

  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team on fundraising, board reporting, and long-term strategic planning.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive operational leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior operations or COO-level role.

  • Proven track record of scaling operations in a fast-growing technology, fintech, professional services, BPO, or SaaS environment.

  • Strong understanding of service delivery operations; experience in accounting, corporate services, or a regulated industry is a strong advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, distributed, multi-country teams and build high-performing cultures.

  • Commercially astute, with hands-on experience owning a P&L and improving unit economics and margins.

  • Experience driving process automation and technology/AI adoption to improve efficiency and quality.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including at board level.

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred, preferably in Business Strategy/Finance.

  • Comfortable operating in a high-growth, fast-changing, and ambiguous environment.
