Chief Operations Officer (COO) - TX-HOU

BW Industrial Construction is seeking a results‑driven, detail‑oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead daily operations and drive organizational performance across our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) business. The COO will oversee operational strategy, develop high‑performing teams, strengthen organizational culture, and ensure alignment with BW’s long‑term growth objectives. This leader must excel at both strategic planning and day‑to‑day execution, with the ability to recognize, develop, and retain top talent across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure efficiency and performance.
• Execute the business plan and achieve or exceed established P&L objectives.
• Partner with the President to develop and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures.
• Establish comprehensive goals for performance, growth, and operational excellence.
• Define and monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) related to customer satisfaction, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for capital improvements, revenue growth, margin enhancement, and cost reduction.
• Attract, retain, and develop a high‑performing leadership team.
• Lead, manage, and hold direct reports accountable for achieving commitments.
• Cultivate strong relationships with strategic partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure new and existing programs align with BW Industrial Construction’s core values and long‑term vision.
• Foster a healthy organizational culture that supports collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field required (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
• Proven success as a COO, Vice President of Operations, or similar executive‑level leader in the industrial construction industry. Must have experience with a general contractor.
• Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and retain high‑performing teams.
• Skilled at transitioning between strategic vision and tactical execution.
• Strong working knowledge of data analysis, operational metrics, and performance management.
• Track record of holding teams accountable and driving measurable results.
• Deep understanding of organizational culture and change management.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
• Advanced organizational leadership experience within EPC, engineering, procurement, or construction industries strongly preferred.
• Broad experience across operations and finance is highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel: 30%, required
