About the Role
The Chief Project Manager will lead the delivery, commercial performance, safety, and quality of all construction and infrastructure projects across Mshel Group, providing strategic direction and hands-on oversight from planning through execution and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the Group's project management strategy and PMO, advising the GMD/CEO and Board on project risks and portfolio performance.
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery — planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution across all active sites.
- Supervise Construction Managers, Project Managers, and Site Engineers, managing scope changes and variation orders.
- Oversee contract administration, procurement, and contractor/sub-contractor performance, including dispute resolution.
- Own project budgets, drive cost optimization, and ensure accurate financial forecasting and reporting.
- Serve as the Group's primary liaison with regulators, government agencies, and consultants.
- Enforce HSE and quality standards across all project sites, acting promptly on incident and audit findings.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the project management team, setting KPIs and accountability frameworks.
- Report project portfolio status to executive leadership and maintain rigorous project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with governance, procurement, and regulatory standards; institutionalize lessons learned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field; Master's preferred.
- Chartered Project Manager (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent) required; NSE/COREN registration highly preferred; FIDIC certification advantageous.
- Minimum 15 years' progressive experience in construction project delivery, including 10+ years in senior management with P&L responsibility.
- Strong technical, commercial, and contract management expertise; proficient in MS Project, Primavera, and BIM.
- Willingness to travel and work on site.
