Chief Resident Engineer-CRE( Civil)
Summary
Oversee civil-water infrastructure projects, leading site teams to deliver large-scale water treatment plants while managing contracts and client relations.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Director/Project Manager in the development, communication, and implementation of the Water strategy for project management.
- Lead a site team of Construction Manager, Contracts Manager, multiple discipline Resident Engineers and Resident Technical Officers, Quantity Surveyors, Safety Officer, BIM Modeller, etc.
- Project delivery planning including time and manpower scheduling for Resident Site Staff (RSS).
- Resolve contractual matters related to the project.
- Attend and lead meetings or discussions with client, contractors, authorities and stakeholders on technical, progress, contractual and permitting matters.
- Coordinate between the Head Office Design team and RSS team to ensure reviews are carried out with quality and timeliness.
- Resourceful and able to resolve site issues and critical defects and punch lists rectification works with the support of technical team.
- Be accountable and responsible for the performance of the site team by fronting the Client in all project-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Preferably a Professional Engineer (PE) registered with Professional Engineers Board Singapore or Chartered Engineer.
- Possess a university engineering degree (Civil) recognized by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience in the study, design and construction of water infrastructure plant projects preferably in water treatment plants of about 40migd in treatment capacity.
- Good leadership and supervisory skills with experience in leading a group of Resident Site Staff.
