Chief Resident Engineer (CRE-M&E)
Job Description:
• Provide overall team direction and management to realise project objectives to the highest professional, technical and safety standards, as required by the Superintending Officer and consultants.
• Oversee and administer QSS manpower deployment per the main contractors' work schedules and ensure personnel welfare.
• Provide governance for multi-disciplinary integration, with extensive interface management experience, well-versed in interface registers and coordination workflows, overseeing systematic management and resolution of interface/integration issues.
• Keep conversant with the Changi Aerodrome Manual, Airside Works Procedures Manual, AOS requirements and WSH Manual, including all updates/circulars.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 20 years' relevant experience in mechanical or electrical building services in the building construction industry, of which at least 15 years on projects of similar size/complexity(major construction works in buildings).
• Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree recognised by PEB Singapore, preferably accredited as a Registered Resident Engineer with IES.
• In current employment under the Contractor for a minimum of 5 years.
• Proficient in PSSCOC contract administration.
• Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry (WSHMCI) and other trainings per Cl. 4.2.
• Conversant with statutory codes/requirements for site supervision, quality control, safety & health, construction administration and progress reporting.
• Strong supervision & leadership skills, proactive in resolving site issues with good team spirit.
• Relevant experience in the Aviation/Aerodrome sector preferred.
• Able to perform shift work.
• MEP QSS: relevant experience across project M&E/airfield systems
• Airfield systems (22kV/LV/potable water/NEWater/fire hydrant/gas/IT-comms, airfield lighting, aviation fuel hydrant system).
• Required to inspect/audit local and overseas fabrication yards jointly with CAG, Consultants and QP/QP representatives.
