Chief Resident Engineer (M&E)
Job Description
- Lead and manage the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) site supervision team to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide overall direction and management to achieve project objectives in accordance with requirements set by the Superintending Officer and consultants.
- Oversee major M&E works for large-scale building construction projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Administer contracts and supervise project execution in accordance with Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC).
- Manage and oversee Quality Site Supervision (QSS) manpower deployment based on project schedules and operational requirements.
- Lead multi-disciplinary coordination and integration across project stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
- Oversee interface management processes, including interface registers, coordination workflows, and resolution of integration issues.
- Ensure the welfare, performance, and effective deployment of site supervision personnel.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore.
- Preferably accredited as a Registered Resident Engineer (RRE) with the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES).
- Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in mechanical or electrical building services within the building construction industry.
- At least 15 years of experience on projects of similar size and complexity, particularly major building construction projects.
- Minimum 5 years of continuous employment with the current contractor.
- Strong knowledge and experience in contract administration under PSSCOC.
- Extensive experience in multidisciplinary integration, interface management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Familiar with interface registers, coordination workflows, and systematic resolution of interface issues.
- Proven leadership skills with a strong commitment to technical excellence, quality, and workplace safety.
