Who we are:
Kitchens for Good (KFG) is a San Diego nonprofit, employment social enterprise whose mission is to drive economic mobility through food. KFG runs culinary career and food entrepreneur development programs that intertwine with a robust portfolio of earned-revenue businesses, including meal contracts, catering, retail, resale, and ecommerce. These enterprises annually generate $4.5M in revenue that sustains the organization and serve as real-world job training grounds and sales channels for motivated individuals who have historically lacked employment and business ownership opportunities.
Position Overview:
The Chief Revenue Officer is a member of Kitchens for Good’s Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for the financial performance and growth of KFG’s social enterprise portfolio. They will work in tandem with the CEO to create the strategy and benchmarks needed to grow revenue from $4.5M to $30M over the next ten years while providing hundreds of job seekers and early-stage food entrepreneurs with wealth-generating opportunities.
The CRO must be equally comfortable with strategy and execution: developing multi-year growth plans, reviewing P&Ls, negotiating major business opportunities, coaching enterprise leaders, improving operational systems, and ensuring that KFG’s businesses remain both commercially competitive and deeply aligned with the organization’s mission.
Applicants are highly encouraged to submit a cover letter describing their interest in Kitchens for Good and the Chief Revenue Officer role.
Enterprise Portfolio:
The CRO provides executive oversight of KFG’s portfolio of social enterprises, including:
• Nutrition Services: High-volume, scratch-made meal production for government agencies, schools, nonprofits, and institutional partners

• SHOP and E-commerce: Retail and online sales of donated kitchenware, locally made food products, and other mission-aligned merchandise
• Culinary Experiences: Classes, corporate team building, and events
The portfolio will evolve, and the CRO is responsible for evaluating, developing, and launching new opportunities, as well as recommending the restructuring or discontinuation of others based on financial performance, mission impact, market opportunity, and organizational capacity.
