Chief Ventilation and Occupational Health Engineer
🚨 We’re Hiring: Chief Ventilation and Occupational Health Engineer 🚨
KAZ Minerals is looking for an experienced Chief Ventilation and Occupational Health Engineer to provide technical leadership across our underground mining operations. This role will be based in Almaty full time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and optimizing mine ventilation strategies and life-of-mine ventilation plans
- Leading ventilation compliance, monitoring, and risk management initiatives
- Managing ventilation-related health and safety risks, including dust, gases, and heat exposure
- Supporting operational improvement through best practices and innovative technologies
- Providing technical guidance to ventilation teams across multiple sites
Requirements:
- Degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of underground mine ventilation experience
- Strong knowledge of ventilation design, occupational health, and underground mining operations
- Experience with Ventsim and other mining software is an advantage
