VCSB is looking for a School-Based Child Mental Health Case Manager to join our team! The School-Based Child Mental Health Case Manager will provide intensive case management services to children and adolescents with seriously emotionally disturbed (SED)/at-risk behavior, in a community or school setting. The child case manager works collaboratively with child and family clinicians, school-based outpatient clinicians, and school staff/administration.

Summary of Essential Functions

  • Provides activities and case management services to children and adolescents with at-risk/SED behavior.
  • Collaborates with children, adolescents, their families, and school administration to facilitate adjustment at home, in school, and in the community.
  • Helps children, adolescents, and their families navigate crisis stabilization and emergency intervention services as needed.
  • Carries a cell phone to provide crisis stabilization and emergency intervention services as needed.
  • Develops and completes Individual Service Plan (ISP) reviews on caseload in accordance with agency standards and Medicaid criteria.

Minimum Qualifications

All applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications in order to be considered qualified for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.
  • Valid Virginia driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
