Childcare Aide

Summary
Under the direction of the Childcare Supervisor, the Childcare Aide is responsible for assisting with activities, helping with homework, and providing leadership to program participants.

The Childcare Aide is responsible for performing the essential functions as outlined in this analysis. The Childcare Aide is a part-time, non-exempt employee. This is an at-will position.

Essential Functions

1. Perform all job tasks within policies and procedures of the Park District’s Personnel and Safety manuals.
2. Attend staff meetings and complete in-service training sessions.
3. Responsible for the direct leadership of all daily activities, events, and participants.
4. Maintain current and accurate records
5. Cooperate with co-workers, WDSRA Inclusion staff and Winfield School staff.
6. Provide a warm and caring atmosphere for participants.
7. Address participant behavior issues and report any problems which arise with participants or the school to the Recreation Coordinator.
8. Responsible for all activity and room preparations and keeping the room neat and orderly.
9. Follow and enforce all safety policies.

Schedule
12 hours per week. Monday – Thursday 3:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. Scheduled hours will vary based on the school district’s schedule (ex: holidays, half days, breaks, etc.)

Pay Rate
$16.00 – $18.00 per hour
