Karate Zoo (presented by Amazing Athletes – the nation's leading youth enrichment provider!) introduces children to the exciting world of martial arts through a fun, high-energy, progression-based program. With the help of our lovable Muscle Zoo friends, students learn the fundamentals of martial arts while building confidence, discipline, focus, respect, and coordination. As they develop their skills, students earn colored belts and stripes to celebrate their achievements and progress. Hi-yah!

This is the perfect role for someone who loves working with kids, enjoys teaching and motivating others, and brings energy, patience, and positivity to every class. If you're passionate about helping children stay active, build confidence, and develop valuable life skills through martial arts in a fun and encouraging environment, we'd love to meet you!

Requirements

  • Available during 2pm-4:30pm at least two afternoons per week Mon-Fri (additional morning hours are also available!)
  • Must enjoy working with children and creating a fun, positive learning environment
  • Passion for science, medicine, education, or hands-on learning
  • Comfortable leading small groups of preschool and/or elementary-age children
  • Reliable, energetic, patient, and professional
  • Must be able to follow lesson plans and bring activities to life in an engaging way
  • Must pass a DCF background check and meet all required childcare/school clearance requirements
  • Reliable transportation required
