With a children's ministry serving more than 300 children, a dedicated volunteer team, and a rich tradition of community outreach, Level Grove is excited to welcome a leader who can build upon this strong foundation.

The next Children's Pastor will have the opportunity to lead a well-established ministry while strengthening relationships with families, developing volunteers, and creating engaging environments where children encounter Jesus and grow as disciples. This is an opportunity for a relational, organized, and mission-minded leader who loves children and is passionate about partnering with parents to shape the next generation.

The ideal candidate will be:

• A Relational Shepherd: A warm, approachable shepherd who connects naturally with children, parents, volunteers, and the broader community.
• A High-Capacity Ministry Leader: An organized and proactive leader who can oversee a growing ministry, develop effective systems, and coordinate large-scale events.
• A Volunteer Recruiter & Developer: A collaborative leader who recruits, equips, encourages, and empowers volunteers while building a healthy team culture.
• An Engaging Biblical Communicator: A creative and energetic teacher who makes Scripture understandable, memorable, and applicable for children.
• A Mission-Minded Team Player: A humble, flexible leader who embraces outreach, discipleship, and missions while working collaboratively with church leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide spiritual leadership and strategic direction for the children's ministry, aligning programming and discipleship with the church's overall vision.
• Develop and oversee biblically grounded curriculum, weekly worship experiences, and age-appropriate discipleship opportunities.
• Recruit, train, equip, and encourage volunteers while fostering a healthy, collaborative ministry culture.
• Plan and coordinate children's ministry events, including camps, Vacation Bible School, missions activities, and family outreach opportunities.
• Build meaningful relationships with children and parents, strengthening communication and equipping families for discipleship at home.
• Partner with preschool leadership to provide consistent ministry care and spiritual development from birth through elementary ages.
• Develop relationships with local schools and community families, creating opportunities for outreach, evangelism, and connection to the church.
• Oversee ministry planning, scheduling, supplies, communication, and organizational systems to support continued growth.
• Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and church staff, actively contributing to the broader mission and ministry of Level Grove Baptist Church.
