We are looking for a passionate Chinese Language Teacher to join our team.

Job Summary
We are looking for a Chinese Language Teacher to teach Mandarin to preschool children through engaging, play-based and age-appropriate lessons. You will help children build a love for the Chinese language, along with strong listening, speaking, early reading and writing skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan, teach and supervise age-appropriate Chinese language lessons in line with the Centre's curriculum and policies
• Create a fun, engaging and language-rich environment that encourages children to use Mandarin
• Use songs, stories, games and hands-on activities to develop children’s listening, speaking, early reading and writing skills
• Observe, assess and document children’s progress in Chinese language learning regularly
• Manage the classroom and guide children’s behaviour using positive guidance strategies during lessons
• Support children’s safety, health and hygiene during lessons and in the centre at all times
• Work closely with class teachers and the team to integrate Chinese language learning into daily routines and themes
• Build and maintain positive partnerships with parents and families, including sharing children’s progress in Chinese

Requirements

• ECDA-certified with EY2 / L1 / L2
• Advanced Certificate in Early Years, Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education, or Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education
• Proficient in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written)
• Able to work independently as well as in a team
• Passionate about working with young children and teaching Chinese

• [Optional: Relevant Chinese language qualification or training, e.g. Higher Chinese background, preferred]
