Job Summary

The Mandarin-speaking Pastor will lead worship, preach, teach, and provide pastoral care to support the spiritual growth of the congregation in a Mandarin-speaking ministry.

Responsibilities

• Preach at Sunday worship services and Chinese Evergreen Fellowship to inspire and guide the congregation
• Lead worship sessions, coordinating with speakers to ensure meaningful service experiences
• Organize and lead small groups, connecting members to foster community and spiritual growth
• Develop and source teaching materials for cell groups to enhance learning and engagement
• Teach workshops, Bible classes, and conduct one-on-one Bible studies to deepen scriptural understanding
• Conduct regular visitations to members at home and hospitals to provide pastoral care and support
• Lead wake and funeral services as needed, offering comfort and guidance to families
• Perform administrative duties to support ministry operations efficiently
• Update the ministry website, prepare bulletins, and manage AV equipment to facilitate communication and services
• Collaborate as part of the leadership team at ministry, staff, and church levels to contribute to strategic planning and ministry growth

Required competencies and certifications

• Master of Divinity degree to serve in a Mandarin-speaking church ministry
• Proficiency in English for effective communication within the ministry
• 8-10 years of experience serving in a church setting with a proven track record
• Demonstrated maturity and life experience to minister effectively to a diverse congregation
