Chinese Translator

Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and versatile Translator proficient in Swahili, English, and Chinese to facilitate communication across diverse teams and with international stakeholders. This role involves translating technical and non-technical documents, as well as providing interpretation services in these three languages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate company documents, reports, emails, and communications between Swahili, English, and Mandarin.
• Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, video conferences, and phone calls as required.
• Translate technical documents, product manuals, safety protocols, and operational guidelines from one language to another.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness in all translations.
• Assist HR and management teams with translating company policies, employee handbooks, and other internal communications.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all translated materials.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure that translations meet specific technical, cultural, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a liaison for teams who need support with language barriers in both written and verbal communication.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a translator or bilingual assistant, ideally in the industrial, automotive, or vehicle manufacturing sector.
• High proficiency in Swahili, English, and Mandarin with excellent written and verbal communication skills in all three languages.
• Knowledge of technical terminology in the vehicle assembling or automotive industry is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple translation projects simultaneously.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Familiarity with document management systems or translation tools is a bonus.
