Job Summary:
The Chinese Translator is responsible for facilitating
effective communication between Chinese-speaking stakeholders, the company and third parties. The role
involves translating spoken and written communications, interpreting during
meetings, assisting with business correspondence, and supporting collaboration
between Chinese expatriates, management, suppliers, and local employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate documents, emails, contracts, manuals, reports,
and other business materials between Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
- Provide real-time interpretation during meetings,
negotiations, training sessions, and site visits.
- Serve as a communication bridge between Chinese expatriates
and local employees.
- Assist in preparing bilingual presentations and reports.
- Ensure translations are accurate, culturally appropriate,
and maintain confidentiality.
- Coordinate communication with Chinese suppliers, partners,
and vendors.
- Support expatriates with administrative and day-to-day
communication needs where required.
- Proofread translated documents to ensure consistency and
quality.
- Maintain an organized record of translated documents and
reference materials.
- Perform other translation and administrative duties as
assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Languages, Linguistics, International
Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English
(spoken and written).
- HSK certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2–5 years' experience as a Chinese Translator or
Interpreter.
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, trading, or
corporate environment is an added advantage.
