Kings Club After-School Staff

Christ the King School is a faith-filled community rooted in the Holy Cross charism, committed to educating hearts and minds while forming students to be people of hope, compassion, and service. We are seeking caring, dependable, and energetic individuals to join our Kings Club After-School Program team.

Kings Club staff members help provide a safe, welcoming, structured, and fun environment for students after the school day. Staff will supervise students, lead activities, support positive behavior, and help ensure that every child in our care feels known, valued, and supported.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide active and attentive supervision of students enrolled in Kings Club

  • Maintain a safe, positive, structured, and welcoming after-school environment

  • Supervise and engage students during indoor and outdoor play, games, crafts, homework time, snack, and other activities

  • Plan or assist with age-appropriate activities that keep students engaged and active

  • Support students with homework and schoolwork when appropriate

  • Reinforce Christ the King School expectations, routines, and positive behavior

  • Encourage kindness, responsibility, respect, and positive relationships among students

  • Assist with student check-in and dismissal procedures, ensuring students are released only to authorized individuals

  • Help maintain an organized and clean Kings Club environment

  • Communicate effectively with Kings Club leadership, school staff, students, and families

  • Respond calmly and appropriately to student needs, conflicts, minor injuries, or other situations that may arise

  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding students and families

  • Model the faith, values, and Holy Cross mission of Christ the King School through positive and caring interactions with students

  • Complete required training and follow all school and diocesan safety procedures

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Kings Club program and Christ the King School community

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, youth program, coaching, or similar setting preferred

  • Patient, caring, dependable, energetic, and comfortable working with children of varying ages

  • Ability to actively supervise groups of students and maintain appropriate expectations and boundaries

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to take initiative and respond appropriately in a busy after-school environment

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality

  • Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Catholic school rooted in the Holy Cross charism

  • Ability to complete Safe Environment training and required background checks

  • Dependable afternoon availability on scheduled school days

Schedule

This is a part-time, after-school position during the school year. Kings Club operates on regular school days, and scheduling can be discussed based on program needs and applicant availability.
