JOB TITLE: Spa Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of Rooms & Resort Operations
SUPERVISES: Spa Attendants, Front Desk Agents, Fitness Instructors, Therapists, Spa & Health Club Supervisors
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Responsible for providing leadership, direction, and supervision of the spa and fitness staff in the daily operations, retail management, membership, and fitness programs. The primary guest focus will be to elevate the Chuan Spa experience to be the premier Spa in the LA market by adhering to all Chuan Spa standards. The Spa Manager is to assist in overseeing the coordination of all guest requests, special activations & events, payroll, scheduling, and product inventory & ordering.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:

Schedules for all spa, retail, & fitness staff / track absences and time off
- Working knowledge of payroll procedures
- Proficient in Book4Time; adding new employees, maintaining their schedules, etc.
- Responsible for accounting procedures: research errors, run weekly unprocessed transaction reports, ensure bank proper procedures are being adhered to, supervision of time clock usage. Disciplinary action as necessary.
- Fitness Schedules: coordinate with the fitness staff / print the monthly schedules / provide the information to Marketing to post the schedule on the web site
- Ensure proper par levels are maintained for linen and spa amenities
- Maintain retail inventory
- Maintain office supplies and collateral
- Critique product usage while monitoring and preventing overuse. Supervise the security and distribution of professional products
- Keep an accurate record of invoices by maintaining or creating savings for budget goal
- Prepare purchase orders for supplies that require a PO, order supplies from purchasing as needed
- Promote sales of treatments and fitness memberships
- Collaborate on special activations & events
- On a timely basis prepare performance reviews for staff
- Train staff in proper performance of their respective duties; provide continual feedback regarding job performance
- Maintain brand standards across all areas of Chuan Spa
- Ensure equipment in departments is in working order
- Represent the department in pertinent meetings

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent College degree (Business Administration, Hospitality Management preferred).

$87,000 - $90,000
