CISO
Summary
The CISO will define and lead Guardio’s information security strategy across its SaaS product, cloud infrastructure, and internal IT, handling policy, incident response, compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR), vendor risk, and security culture while partnering with R&D and leadership.
Guardio is one of the fastest-growing companies in consumer cybersecurity - we’ve doubled revenue four years running, passed $150 million in ARR, and now protect over a million people, at a moment when AI has made scams more convincing than ever.
AI has democratized cybercrime: scams that once required sophisticated hacking teams are now cheap, personalized, and everywhere.
Traditional security wasn’t built for this - so we’re building it, protection that sees the person, connects all the dots - and stop attacks and scams wherever vector they come from.
And honestly, we all feel here - it’s just the beginning!
Let's cut to the chase. What's the job?
We’re looking for a CISO to lead Guardio’s end-to-end information security strategy - across our SaaS product, cloud production environments, internal IT systems, and customer-facing security programs.
Your work will define how we protect millions of users, how we secure Guardio’s workforce and corporate environment, how we earn and preserve the trust of our millions of consumer & enterprise customers, and how we build a resilient, secure foundation that supports Guardio’s scale. You’ll shape our security culture, manage IT, and partner closely with R&D, leadership, and ensure that security is both a strategic enabler and an integral part of how we operate and deliver.
You will:
- Build, lead, and evolve Guardio’s IT program taking into account all security and governance needs - from strategy and governance to execution and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain Guardio’s information security roadmap, policies, and controls, ensuring coverage across production environments, cloud infrastructure, and internal IT and business systems.
- Manage the entire IT and security scope including hiring and mentoring IT leaders and personell.
- Dive hands on into vendor assessment, IT configuration and monitoring dashboards when needed.
- Own Guardio’s incident response program, from preparedness to hands-on leadership during security events and post-incident learnings, covering both production and IT incidents.
- Ensure compliance with standards (eg. SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) , and emerging AI security and governance frameworks, while maintaining audit readiness across product and IT.
- Partner closely with R&D, Operations, IT, and Product teams to embed secure architecture, secure development practices (SDLC), without slowing delivery.
- Oversee penetration testing, vendor assessments, and third-party risk management for both product and corporate systems.
- Serve as Guardio’s primary security representative for partners, auditors, and regulators, supporting sales and customer trust.
- Communicate clearly at the executive level, providing visibility into security posture, risks, initiatives, and long-term priorities, including IT and corporate security.
Sounds great! Am I the right fit?
Well, our guess is you have a good chance of being that person if you check as many of these as possible:
- 7+ years of experience in information security, including leadership of a security program within a SaaS company.
- Strong background in IT security, cloud security, risk management, secure software development, and security operations.
- Proven experience in hiring, managing and mentoring IT personell.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage security incidents end-to-end, and drive organization-wide adoption of security practices.
- Excellent communication skills and experience supporting peers, management and external factors.
- Experience leading security in publicly traded companies or IPO preparation - an advantage.
