Citrix Engineer

Job Description

As a contributing member of the Data Center and Infrastructure Solutions Team, the Citrix System Administrator reports to the Senior Manager of Infrastructure and will have responsibility for the daily maintenance and implementation of the Infrastructure and Data Center Operations.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong Citrix Cloud and DaaS experience
• Strong experience with End User support
• Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Desktop support
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office support
• Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
• Experience with Intune, Entra, and Azure

Bonus Skills

• General Compute technologies, including Rackmount and Blade Technologies (Dell, Cisco UCS)
• Enterprise Storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel (Dell EMC Unity, PowerMax, DataDomain)
• Server virtualization technologies and hyper-converged solutions (VMware and Nutanix)
• Data Protection experience, including Backup/Restore, Replication, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Archiving (Dell EMC, Commvault)

DAILY DUTIES

• Support Citrix VDI and Netscaler environment.
• Update/improve monitoring solutions including configuration and integration with applicable procedures and ServiceDesk operations
• Hands-on implementation and support for hardware
• Manage Active Directory domain: GPOs, account administration, etc.
• Full support of virtual compute environments, including but not limited to VMWare
• Monitor and manage backup and recovery operations
• Involve vendors to diagnose, update and correct operational problems associated with specific hardware and software and identify root cause.
• Update and upgrade hardware and infrastructure software/firmware to versions and releases supported by the respective vendors

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• 5 years of Citrix in a Data Center & Windows environment
• 3 years of proven experience in Active Directory, Data Center technologies.
• 3 years in managing virtualized environments (Ideally VMware)
• Expertise in enterprise backup and recovery platforms (Commvault)
• Participate in OnCall rotation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills within a collaborative environment
• 7+ years of overall experience
