A CAISS (Civil Aviation and Immigration Security System) Trainer who designs and delivers training programs on border control systems to adult learners with varying technical backgrounds, focusing on system navigation, data entry, case processing, and reporting functions for immigration services.
We are seeking a dynamic and empathetic CAISS (Civil Aviation
and Immigration Security System) Trainer to lead instructional sessions for
adult learners across varying levels of technical proficiency. The trainer will
deliver hands-on, scenario-based training on border control systems, ensuring
users gain confidence and competence in system navigation, data entry, case
processing, and reporting functions. This role is pivotal in supporting digital
transformation and operational excellence within immigration services.
· Design and deliver engaging
training programs on border control system (e.g., border control, visa
processing, biometric enrollment)
· Facilitate workshops for
adult learners, including law enforcement officers, administrative staff, and
technical personnel
· Customize training materials
to suit learners with and without IT backgrounds
· Conduct needs assessments
and adapt content for different learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic)
· Provide post-training
support, including refresher sessions, job aids, and helpdesk coordination
· Collaborate with system
developers and operational teams to stay current on system updates and
workflows
· Evaluate training
effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics
Requirements
- Bachelor's
degree in IT, Education, or related field.
- 3+ years in
IT training, preferably in immigration or the public sector
- Proven
ability to train adults with mixed technical backgrounds
- Familiarity
with immigration systems, databases, and user interfaces
- Strong
verbal and written communication in English and Swahili
- Experience
with curriculum development and digital training tools
- Knowledge
of international immigration protocols and data privacy standards
- Experience
with Microsoft SQL Server, biometric systems, or case management platforms
- Certification in adult education, instructional design, or
IT training (e.g., CompTIA CTT+).
