Civil Design Drafter

The Role:
This role is for a Civil Design Drafter to provide technical design and drafting support to the civil and structural design engineers working in the pre-contracts and project environments. The role will deliver office based design and engineering for GGC’s Renewable Energy Projects - BESS Windfarms, Solar farms & Substations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare earthworks, drainage, road layout and access designs for renewable energy projects.
- Undertake structural design inputs and support calculations.
- Develop fit-for-purpose, costed design solutions in collaboration with pre-contracts and clients.
- Deliver customer-focused technical support throughout project design and estimating phases.
- Ensure all solutions meet stakeholder requirements and align with current industry standards.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and provide recommendations for design improvements.
- Maintain strong commitment to safety, environmental standards, and an inclusive workplace.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Tertiary Qualification in Drafting or Civil Engineering
- Ideally have between 2-5 Years experience
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 12D or similar) and ability to operate a CAD workstation
- Ability to produce civil models and drawings including site layouts, earthworks, drainage, access roads, foundations, and structural details.
