Job DescriptionCivil Design EngineerLocation: HitchinSalary: £35,000 - £45,000Type: Full-Time | PermanentI'm working with a well-established independent multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that is looking to add a Civil Design Engineer to its Hitchin team.The office offers a good alternative to the London consultancy market - giving you the opportunity to work on a strong range of development and infrastructure projects, while being based outside of London and away from the daily London commute .You'll work across residential, commercial, education, healthcare, retail and leisure projects, gaining exposure to a broad range of civil engineering design work.The RoleYou'll be involved in:Civil infrastructure and development design from concept through to constructionDrainage, SuDS, highways and external worksLevels, earthworks and cut/fill modellingPreparing drawings, calculations, specifications and technical reportsDrainage strategies and flood risk assessments3D ground modelling and detailed infrastructure designWorking with structural engineers, architects, contractors and clientsSupporting projects through planning and detailed design stagesAbout YouI'm keen to speak with Civil Engineers with around 2-5 years' UK consultancy experience , ideally from a development infrastructure background.You'll ideally have experience with:Drainage, highways, earthworks and external worksAutoCAD and ideally Civil 3DMicroDrainage / InfoDrainage or similarUK design standards and guidanceResidential or other development projectsICE membership or working towards Chartership would be beneficial, but isn't essential.What's on Offer£35,000 - £45,000Hitchin-based office - work outside of London while remaining close to the London marketHybrid and flexible workingVaried project portfolioProfessional development and Chartership supportProfessional membership supportPension and private healthcareTraining and CPDClear opportunities for progressionCollaborative multidisciplinary environmentIf you're looking for the project exposure and career opportunities associated with the London market, without having to work in London , this could be a good opportunity to consider.Will Herman07581 619823Aldwych Consulting values and promotes equality.
