The role of a Civil Designer is to work independently and as a team member supporting Stantec’s electric vehicle (EV) program on a wide range of exciting projects across the Western US under the guidance of a Senior Engineer/Project Manager. This role may provide exposure to support a wide variety of land development projects including residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and recreational with public works related improvements.

A Civil Designer will perform a variety of tasks which may include analysis, preparation of exhibits, and construction documents. The projects that a Civil Designer may be assigned to may be broad, varied, and diverse in scope.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Utilizes CAD in development of three-dimensional models of civil systems.
• Perform and assist with all aspects of civil engineering design including layout/geometry, grading, drainage, paving, water, sewer, and erosion control.
• Prepare complete submission packages, supporting calculations, quantity and cost estimates, project schedules, and other duties.
• Assist project manager / project engineer with consultant and project team coordination.
• Assists in the development of new CAD standards and processes for the civil group.
